The assignment for the River View Shopping Center, was to develop a brand positioning and a brand look and feel that included; a series of parking lot light pole banners, a Facebook page and header, multiple online flash web banners, and a :30 TV spot that could run locally as well as be forwarded via the web.
With so many different types of shops and events available at the River View Shopping Center, and the passion customers tend to feel about their favorite restaurants, retail stores and health clubs, that passion could easily be described as being a "love" for that experience. In the TV spot, the concept was executed graphically as, "If you love (insert item picture here). You'll love the View!" The graphic look could be created using matching shapes and angles of different photos that represent individual items or stores. These images could then be set against beautiful colored backgrounds to make those images feel more contemporary and pop.
Here's how the TV spot turned out.
Once the graphic approach was created and the individual elements approved, it was very simple to turn the horizontal pictures of the TV spot into vertical images that could be used as two-sided, parking lot light pole banners.
Using Flash, we the then created moving images similar to the ending of the TV spot to be used in the River View web banners.
The final portion of the project was to take these new images and transfer the brand look to the River View Shopping Center Facebook page.
